I am looking for information about the ancestors of Rasmus Olsen Sæten (my 4th g-grandfather). This is what I have pieced together from tax lists, census records and some other sources. I would appreciate knowing if there are any more details in the bygdebok...Rasmus Olsen Sæten was born ca 1739. His was the son of Ole Larsen Sæten and Magnhild Aamundsdtr.Ole Larsen Sæten was born ca 1706 and died 1783 at Sæten. He was the son of Lars Sifversen Sæten and Dorthe Colbeinsdtr Bødal. Ole married Magnhild Aamundsdtr before 1726.Lars Sifversen Sæten was born ca 1660 at Sæten and died ca 1729 at Bødal. He is the son of Sifver Lauridtsen and [?]. Lars married Dorthe Colbeinsdtr Bødal ca 1701.Dorthe Colbeinsdtr Bødal was born [??] and died ca 1729 at Sæten. I believe Dorthe was the daughter of Colbein Lassesen Bødal.Sifver Lauridtsen was born ca 1627 and died after 1701 at Sæten. Married [??]Colbein Lassesen was born ca 1618, and probably died before 1701. I don't know whom he married or if he had other children. I believe his is the son of Lasse Aamundsen and Barbara [?].At Bødalen in 1645: Lasse Aamundsen, wife Barbra (no surname), Lauriz Lassesen, Peder Lassesen, Colbein Lassesen and Anne Lassesdtr. Lasse and Lauriz are not at Bødal in 1664, but Peder (age 50) and Colben (age 46) are there.I would appreciate any assistance...Helsing, Patricia

Information from bygdebok: Ola Larson Sæten, died 1783 (77 years), married Magnhild Åmundsd., died 1768 (73 years)Parents of Ola Larson: Lars Sjurdson Sæten, died 1729 (69 years), married Dorte Kolbeinsd. Bødal (she was widow of Ola Rasmusson)The bygdebok doesn't state if Lars Sjurdson is son of Siffuert Lauritsson (your Sifver Lauridtsen), but it is probable.Siffuert Lauritsson had a son Laurits who was working at Røros town in 1701. This might og might not be the same person as Lars Sjurdson.Probable parents of Dorte Kolbeinsd.: Kolbein Lasseson Bødal, married Barbrå Bendiksd.Parents of Kolbein Lasseson Bødal: Lasse Åmundson Bergheim, married Ågåte AntonsdotterThere is no more information from the bygdebok.
