I'm seeking information about a seamen named Christian Josefsen,son of Joseph Andersen and Fonette Maria Olsdatter from Vestfold area. He left Norway in 1885-1890 on a vessel that crossed the ocean. The best information would be the boat he skipped but any information is welcome.

I found some information in Andebu Bygdebok at Gjermundrø-rønningen, also called 'Josefstua' Page 291. Josef Anderson lived there from 1864. He is born 1827 at Hõgset parish in Dalsland, Sweden and died 1908 at Askjem, Andebu. He was a painter. He married Tonette Marie Olsdatter, born 1832 in Arnadal, Stokke and died 1913. They had 4 children. The only information of your Kristian is: born 1874, seaman.
