[#24750] Skifteprotokoller og kortregister

I have a question for those familiar with the 'skifteprotokoller'. I have used the 'kortregister', and am wondering if the skifteprotokoller themselves contain information of value to genealogists that doesn't appear in the kortregister. For example, the register will say that one of the heirs is in America. Is it possible that the skifteprotokoll might say where in America the heir is living?

The probate records often contain more of value than appear on the cards, so there is always a chance. However, my impression is that places of living is carefully transcribed, while there might be some other clues which are not.
