I am looking for emigration records or ship manifests for my grandfather, Christian Pedersen and his wife, Petra Sofie Pedersen. I have been able to find information from Ellis Island databases, but the dates don't correspond with my family's oral history of my grandparents and, although I have copies of ships manifests from Ellis Island, NYC, but they are not legible and I cannot tell if my relatives' names are actually on them.According to the Ellis Island information I found, my grandfather, Christian Arnt Pedersen (b. 7 July 1881, Halsaa og Hartmark) left Stavanger for Brooklyn, NYC in 1902 aboard the SS Oscar II, and my grandmother, Petra Sofie Pedersen (b. 24 October 1886, Grimstad), left Stavanger for Brooklyn in 1907 aboard the SS United States to join Christian in Brooklyn. They and their two daughters returned to Mandal from the US around 1924-25 and Christian made some additional trips back and forth after that date, the last being in 1936 with his two daughters (one being my mother) from Stavanger to Brooklyn aboard the SS Stavangerfjord, but I can't find any records of these trips.Can someone point me to the appropriate databases records?Thank you very much.Joan King

Here I’ve found one Kristian Arnt Pedersen, who emigrated from Kristiansand in 1903 He is born i 1881, and his destination is New York [url="http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=KRISTUT&gardpostnr=37316&merk=37316#ovre>Lenke And this might be Petra Sofie Pedersen, born 1887, Grimstad, who emigrated for Kristiansand in 1907
