I am looking for the John olsen Blaestrud b 1796 family. Living at Dovre after 1844 wife Guri B 1808 Died 1851 maybe Dovre Oppland Norway. Children Olaf b 1826 Marit b 1828 Syver b 1831 Anne b 1835 D 1851 also maybe with mother. Kari b 1840 Aagot B 1842 all b Noregard Sor Hole Lesja What happened to this family 1844 to 1875. Where in Norway were they? Any help will be appriecated. Thank You Kay

Do You have death records? I am wondering if they would show what they died from seems John Olsens wife Goro Jespersdtr Blaestren b 1808 43, Aagot Johnsdtr Hole 81 and Anne Johnsdtr Blaesten 15 1/2 all died the same month April 29 1851. What is the Blaestren Name a farm ? Thanks so much for all the checking. I believe the only one right could be Marit 37.

The 'Bygdebok for Lesja' (volum 3, page 173, Sør-Hole) tells that Ole (Olaf) emigrated to Sweden in 1862. Marit and Aagot emigrated to USA, Eau Claire, Wisc. Syver and Kari unknown.And as you know, Anne died in 1851. She died of 'nervefeber' which is the same as typhoid/typhus. Both her mother and her grandmother died of the same disease.

I am not sure, but because we know that John lived at Dovre that time, and was born 1796, it may be him: Lenke(Lægdslem = community supported pauper)
