Gjest Robert Evensen

I am trying to find out who is Hanna Balzersen. She is listed as a baptismal sponsor to my grandfather, Christian Evensen in 1883 and his sister Aasta Evensen in 1886. They were baptised in Kampen kirche. Does anyone know how I can find out who she was? I suspect she is a relative.

I wonder if this will help: Johanne Marie Baltsersen, daughter of Johannes Baltsersen and Karen Christiansdatter, was born 9 December 1848 and baptized in Vor Frelsers menighet. She married in 1868 and lived in Ullensaker.

Hi Robert,Thanks for the help. It is a possibility. I don't have any family that I know of from Ullensaker, but Christian's mother, Maren Paulsen, was from Eidsvoll, and moved down to Kristiania, so there may have been other family members moving through Ullensaker.Robert

I checked my notes, and see that Johanne Marie Baltsersen occasionally appears in the records as Hanne Baltsersen. Her husband was Ole Larsen / Ole Larsen Jægerlund.

Oh, I like this. I also seem to remember another sponsor for a different child named Ole Larsen. Yes, I know that there were probably 5000 Ole Larsens, but I'll check further on the farm name. What records are you checking?Robert

My information is from the Ullensaker parish registers, except for Johanne's baptism. Ole Larsen was a very distant relative of mine.

Hmm, not sure what to do with this information. The name Hanne Baltzersen is not that common, unlike Ole Larsen. I don't know what her relationship was to my family, but she shows up twice as a sponsor. I can identify everyone else, so I am assuming she is important and perhaps another family member, but she could be just a family friend. Does your Ole Larsen have any relationship to Eidsvoll or where is the Jægerlund farm?

None of the names you mention seem to have any connection to Ole Larsen's family. Jægerlund seems to be part of the farm Sundby at Gardermoen. I noted that your grandfather's name is Christian, and Johanne's mother was Karen Christiansdatter, but you've probably considered that already.
