I 1801 I find some Riegels ( Rigels) fam. in Kongsberg. I have not been able to locate Anne Kristine Riegelsen b. about 1796 ( age at maaiage)Are you sure that she was born in Norway?Here you find som of the Kongsberg Riegels-fam. HalloMaybe this is Anne Kristine in FT 1801 LenkeHer fathers name is here Peder Ugelsen. It`s not impossible that it should been Rigelsen. FT 1801 contains a lot of wrong transcript in the internetverson.mvh Laila

LailaRe: Ugelsen in 1801 Census - I had come to the conclusion is was really Rigelsen a while ago.This family is from DanmarkThere are two Rigelsen brothers who marry in 1813 & 1817 respectively in Stavern & Tønsberg and both have a sister called Anne Kirstine - named after their mother.Danish records have inconsitent ages for Han's Rigelsen (født) 1762 Rasmus & Anne Kirstine.Mvh Mike

Here you have a Rasmus Riegelsen born i Kopenhagen, b. in Holmen,LenkeAt that time there was conection beetween Holmen in Denmark and Fredriksvern ( Stavern) in Vestfold , Norway.I wonder if the wifes name Baade, is a Norwegish name? I think I have seen the name used both in Fredrichvern and in the Stavanger area earlier.I think I also have seen a Sail-maker with Rieber-name, but I did not refind in today.mvh. Gunn.

Here I found somthing very interesting.The same man as Laila mentioned named Peter Uglesen, is the same man that lives in Fredrichværen in 1801 , Wifes name Anne M. Baade, son Rasmus 11 years.LenkeThis is obviosly the same man I found in Holmen Denmark.Do hope that will help. Peter is a seilmaker too!Mvh. Gunn.

If it is the Jacob Nilsen I found b. in Fredriksværn in 1794, there are more children from the same parents b. in Stavern :Jacob Nilsen bpt. 21 Mar 1794,Christopher Nilsen, bpt. 16 Aug 1776.Ann Kristine Nilsen bpt. 17 Sep 1799Johannes Nilsen bpt. 8 Feb 1803Parents: Nils Christophersen and Birthe K.
