[#34142] Hvorfor in Valestrand??

Is this the right page to ask a question about Valestrand. My ancestors married in Valestrand in 1881 on 18.11.1881 they had their child Claus Clausen in Bergen in March 1882 (yes, naughty naughty). The father Berge Claussen Smørdal came from Smørdal in Lindås Kommune and the mother Anna Jørgensdatter Førde came from Førde farm in Sveio. I'm trying to find out what they were both working at when they were there. I think the 1875 records might tell but, try as I may, I cant seem to access the right ones. Someone please direct me to the right records.

Anna is 12 years old at Førde farm in 1865. LenkeI'm not able to find here in 1875. Perhaps she is still in Sveio, which is not included in 1875 records.

The marriage isn't mentioned in the Lindaas-book. I've got all those records and last year someone found the marriage of Berge and Anna at Valestrand on 18.11.1881.What I am trying to do is find out how long they were in Valestrand for. What work they did, so its the missing years between 1868 and 1881 if there are records of those two anywhere in Valestrand, Førde or Bergen/Smørdal/Lindås.Also, can you help me lookup the other children of Berge and Anna (Claus's brothers and sisters) I want to try and find living relatives so to start from what I already know. Can you help with that? Find out who the married and the children they had. For the girls, find out their married names and the childrens names.Thank you.

Quite a number of people has helped in the search so I think it's appropriate that persons that may try to help you now should have access to all the data collected earlier. Yes Nina, I saw the 1900 census which showed Berge and second wife with 2 of Claus' sibblings but I think that may have been because they were the young ones. The older ones migh have already moved on. Its really hard to say.Not sure what you mean about the forum for the 1912 census. Can you give me the linke? And how else can I search for the sibblings descendants.And Nina, it was you who finally found Berge and Anna's marriage in Valestrand, last year in September. I saw my old print outs, so thanks again.
