Arthur! Referring to the information that eventually came out of my entry #36283 it is clear that Andreas Olsen and wife Anna Juliana Wickstrøm have nothing to do with Ole Andersen and Gunhild Halvorsdatter referred to in your entry and who emigrated i 1873. It may well be that their son Anders (b.1842) died in infancy. To have that verified, you will have to check the ministerial records.Through assistance, I've been able to track Anders Olsen and Anna Wickstrøm back to Kalix in Norrbotten, Sweden (her home ground). They had four children before Anna died in 1880 or 1881. Anders then married (Dec 31,1882) Hilda Eufrosyne Nilsdotter (b.1859). Andreas and Hilda also had 4 children before he died Dec 6,1889. The death record can be found in Familysearch/IGI(Sweden) and fortunately, Andreas' date of birth is also recorded there; Jan 23, 1841, which is a perfect match for the Andreas Olsen I was looking for.Regards Kjell Hamberg

Kjell, Thanks for all your help. As much as I could read from the Norwegian, I could tell there was no match. The US family can now start to search elsewhere for Anders (Andreas).I don't know what documentation they have, but the word I've gotten is Anders was already married when the rest of the family emigrated. They have confirmation record, small pox record, etc. It is possible they have another marriage record (Nicolaison?) to research on.Again, thanks for your help and especially thank you for your responses back to me. I have gotten unbelievable help from Norwegians in my personal research, having found the last residence of 3 out of 4 lines to Norway.Art
