I have a small pin that belonged to my grandfather.the pin is small, round, and contains the words dansk skole idrætsmærke.dansk skole is on the left side (running bottom to top) and idrætsmærke is on the right side (running top to bottom).dansk skole = danish schoolidrætsmærke = athletic/sport pin/medalMy grandfather resided in Fredrikstad. He attended the Seiersten school in Fredrikstad during the 1890s.Anyone know anything about a Danish School in Fredrikstad? I am attempting to find out why he would have a pin from a Danish School. Could the pin contain dansk skole simply due to old Danish influences? Could it be that his school competed against a Danish school?Anyone know anything about this pin or care to give an opinion?
