[#67950] Which church records have Helland, Stavanger?

I am currently researching the Kristiansen/Christiansen family at Stavanger. The only child I could not find was one, Mathilde Emilie Kristiansen, born 1881 Stavanger according to the 1900 census. I was unable to find any birth record for her in the Stavanger records available. I did, however, locate her confirmation record for 1887 in Stavanger/Domkirke. This record states that she was born October 31st 1881 at Helland and baptized December 26th (parents Engebret Kristiancen and Berte Johnsdatter). My problem is that I have been going around in circles trying to find the 'right' Helland. Does anyone know where I would find this record? moira-in-sunny-Florida

Thank you very much for your help - I think my problem needed help from someone familiar with the disrict. Now some new questions. Since the baptism record for Mathilde Emilie Kristiansen gives her address as bispeladegaard what is the English translation of 'bispeladegaard'? Since the family later lived at Ladegaardveien could it be that Hetland prestegjeld moved and the family didn't?

I do belive that bispeladegård = bispe ( bishop)lade ( barn)gård(farm ) and Ladegårdsveien is the same place , = the road along or towards that aerea/ farmland called Bispeladegård. then just outside the town Stavanger, now inside the town as the town has grown. At present time Ladegårdsveien is called Lagårdsveien . And Hetland parish was outside the town . Yes I think as you that the family did not move much or far. Tove

Today we have both the roads Bispeladegård and Lagårdsveien. Before Stavanger got the highway, Lagårdsveien was the main road out of Stavanger and then south.
