In the 1865 census, the farm record may indicate 1 barley, 1 potatoes, etc.Does this mean the farm HARVESTED or PLANTED that amount of each? Or is there another meaning?I believe the amounts are listed as tonnes (which I convert into bushels).Thank you.

A 'tønne' equals 139 litres. It is the amount planted that is listed. In those days, a harvest could be about 8 times as high.
