Hi (With refferance to earlier thred, nr 78986)Writing this in English, giving our american or canadian friends a chance to help out as well :-)In 1866, one Thomas Sivertsen emigrated from Trondheim, Norway, to Canada; LenkeI am looking for help from American/Canadian sources to find out is this in 'my' Thomas. Any information on date/place of brith, parents names, date of confirmation will help...also, given he is the right Thomas, any information on descendants will be hightly appreciated.. :-)kind regards Anders Rofstad

Hi again.It looks like this is not 'my' Tomas. Upon checking the imigration lists for canada, I found this Thomas Sivertsen,Lenkebut his given surname is all wrong :-(well... search continues.. :-)kind reg. Anders

hi again.. have been looking at this again, and it looks like the transcript at LaAC is wrong. In that transcript Thomas has been given the last name Hellesgjerdet [url="http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/passengers-quebec-1865-1900/001082-119.01-e.php?&person_id_nbr=29411&interval=20&&PHPSESSID=sjp5kjjot31839dk7070lsv3d4>Lenke But when I look at the transcripted passenger-list on Norway-Heritage He is NOT registered with Hellesgjerdet as last name. But when I look at the list, the 3 persons prior to him had Hellesgjerdet as last name.
