March 23rd 1841: Widower Ole El(l)efsen Tangen, born in Hedrum parish, 50 years old, son of Ellef Rasmussen, married to previously unmarried Olea Evensdatter, 31 years old, daughter of Even Ambjørnsen.Best men: Farmer Knud Knudsen Løve (btw, my gggg-grandfather) and farmer Børre El(l)efsen Vestrum.The marriage had been announced on the groom's request. Then there is a remark which I'm unable to read, but I think it says something about that they were given permission to get married. Next column says that the groom had had smallpox, while the bride had been vaccinated. Then there's the last column, which I think confirms that a probate had been held after the groom's first wife.
