Konglum/Konglund, Sør-Fron.

Amund Olsen på Konglum i Sør-Fron ble født 3.11.1852, nr.86. Foreldre var Ole Knudsen Konglum, og Anne Larsdtr. (født Bakken).

Både i 1865 og i 1875 finnes han hos familien på Konglum, men etter det forsvinner han for meg. Jeg finner ingen opplagt kandidat i 1900-tellingen, broren Lars med familie er på Konglund da, sammen med de gamle foreldrene Ole og Anne.

 

Jeg mener å ha sett ganske grundig over døde i Sør-Fron mellom 1875 og 1900 og "tror" ikke han er med der, likeens kan jeg heller ikke se å finne ham blant de utflyttede i samme tidsperiode, men kanskje har jeg sett meg blind, åkke som, borte er han, dermed setter jeg min lit til at kanskje noen andre greier å plukke han frem igjen..

Ja det er slettes ikke utenkelig at det var rette karen du fant der. Spørs om det kan bekreftes via kilder i Amerika at det faktisk er riktig mann da. Hvor er forresten Black R. Falls som står som reisemål tro?

The Memorial Service for Duane A. Lund, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 12, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Richland, Minnesota. The Reverend Paul Andree will officiate. Interment will be in St. Olaf Cemetery, New Richland. Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the church. Friedrich Funeral Home, New Richland is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Duane died on Thursday morning, July 8, 2010 in New Richland, Minnesota. He was 81. He was born on July 22, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the son of Ralph and Lula (Schultz) Lund. He graduated from New Richland High School and then served our country in the U.S. Navy for a short time. Duane had worked in the shipping department at Bemis Company in Minneapolis for 23 years before retiring. He married Norma (Corpus) Oren on October 27, 1995 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They had lived in Waterloo, Iowa, for several years and then in Decorah, Iowa. Duane enjoyed watching old movies and collecting photographs of movie stars from days gone by.

 

He is survived by his wife Norma of Decorah, Iowa, his brother Douglas Lund of New Richland, step children: Mary Lou Cotton (Michael) of Decorah; Shirley Lucas of Cincinnati, OH and Glenn (Shelley) Oren of Boone, IA; 10 stepgrandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren, an aunt and several cousins. Duane was preceded in death by his father Ralph and mother Lula.
