Contractions and Abbreviations

All the census records have 1 or 2 letter abbreviations in various columns. Many are self evident such as m, b, s, d etc.. However there are several that defies description to an untrained eye such as fl, t, Fr.hald plus numerous others. My question is whether a not a list is available explaining these contractions/abbreviations?http://forum.arkivverket.no/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

"Fr hald" is a contraction for Fredrikshald, which is the former name or an alternative name, for the town of Halden in Østfold.
