Gamle fotografier fra Bergen? Gjør dem tilgjengelig på Historypin.com

Historypin.com er et non-profit nettsted som samarbeider med Google for å tilgjengeliggjøre gamle bilder og plassere dem på kartet.

 

I forbindelse med at direktøren for Historypin skal til Bergen og delta på NHH sitt TEDX-seminar, så ber de oss om å publisere gamle bilder fra Bergen. Digitalarkivet kan ikke videredistribuere gårdsbilder eller annet som er lagt inn på nettsidene våre, så vi sender oppfordringen videre til alle brukere. Jeg klipper fra henvendelsen deres:

 

"Historypin is about bringing people together all over the world, from across families, communities and different generations, to see and share their history in a new way. Our CEO, Nick Stanhope, will be in Bergen on 28th September to speak at the 2011 TEDX event about Historypin and our work to open up access to archives and bring communities together around history.

 

Historypin.com is the main hub of the project and allows users to add their own photos and stories to Google Maps. All content is geo-tagged, dated and captioned. Once on the site, street images can be overlaid onto Google Maps Street View, and any content can be grouped together into Collections and strung into Tours. Through the Historypin Smartphone app, users can become immersed in the history that surrounds them or browse collections all over the world from wherever they are.

 

Nick will be demonstrating the Historypin site during his talk, and we would love to collaborate with you to upload some photos so that he can show Bergen in days gone by. There are already a few pins in Bergen, but it would be fantastic to add some more and create a hotspot to explore like this one in Trafalgar Square, London."
