I am looking for Peterana Hartvig's parents. She was born in Enebakk, Akershus on 21 mar 1790. Her parents were only listed as "The Hartvigs"

She also had a sister born Ane Catrine Hartvig in 1794 but I can't find anymore Hartvigs in the town. I would be grateful for anyone's input that would give me a few more leads. Thank you , Debbie Anderton

I've found one Wilhelm Hartvig in Fet, Akershus, son of Hans Hartvig and Margrethe Maria, but I can't tell if this couple has anything to do with the two girls in Enebakk:

Akershus county, Fet, Parish register (official) nr. I 5 (1772-1796), Birth and baptism records 1786, no page no.

If Wilhelm b 1786 is the brother, this may be an interesting family in 1770 http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=sk06021682&personpostnr=9799&merk=9799

and there is a Hans Hartvig here in Fet ft-1801 http://digitalarkivet.no/cgi-win/WebCens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=6&filnamn=f1801&gardpostnr=6168&personpostnr=75575&merk=75575#ovre

I can not find Peteranna in 1801.

Thank you for your help. I have looked further at Hans Hartvig's family. Peterana fits in the age category for the other children ( I found more of them in Fet). Why would Hans the father be all by himself in the 1801 census? I also tried to find Peterana or his sister in the 1801 census and couldn't find her. I was hoping to find some proof that links her with Hans Hartvig but haven't been able to.

Debbie, its possible you have the right Hans Hartvig. Godparents for both girls was Thor To0belsen ( Ane ) & his wife Maria ( Peterana ). The Census says Hans Hartvig is married, not a widower so his wife could be away somewhere with the girls and is not on the Census. However, there is a family history for a Hans Hartvig from Fet as you found but Peterana and Ane are not shown.I could only find one son Johan in Fet so the rest have moved away.

Wilhelmine Hartvig was a godparent for Thor Tobelsens son Peter in 1791 Enebekk

Wilhelmine Hansdatter Hartvig married Syver Johannesen 27 Dec 1800 Enebekk

It looks like she was born ca 1775. They are here in 1801 Enebekk

It is easier to help if you would write a list of the children, please.

Yes, Carl Fredrik is my ancestral line. I made my search as far as Peterana Hartvig. I have Nils Georg Martini's father. Sorry I haven't given more information. I am new at using this site and it is taking a bit to figure out how it works. The children of Neils Georg Martini and Peterana Hartvig are Carl Johann Martini born on 10 May 1819 in Christiania and Carl Fredrik Martini born on18 Aug 1823 in Christiana. Niels and Peterana were married in 1818 in Olso. I haven't been able to find any more children for them. Thank you again for your help. Debbie

Wow. What an exciting find. I think that is definitely my family. I didn't have Niels Georg's death. I cannot read Norwegian except for little bits here and there. Does the record tell a little bit more about Neils Georg Martini? Did it list any more children? I couldn't find any other names on it but I am not that good at reading it either.
