I have been trying to find the death certificate for Brynte Olsson from Töcksmark, Värmland, Sweden,

("Bronte" in the 1903 City Directory of Minneapolis) who died May 4, 1902 at age 42 and

was resident with his wife Minnie in the City of Minneapolis,at 1507 So. 3rd Avenue.

Wrote to the MN Vital Records already, they said to find the County Office.

 

->Q. I need to know if the address is in Hennepin Co. or not?

 

->Q. Any information from an obituary, or death certificate copy for genealogical purpose only,

at the Hennepin County Vital Records will be very helpful. Also any information about a possible

Swedish church in the neighborhood of their address. Also, the address of this office is..?

 

->Q. Perhaps a Swedish American newspaper name, if anyone Knows of one?

I think, from having looked at the 1900 and 1920 US Census, that the area had a lot of

Scandinavian immigrants.

 

Beverly H. from the List helped me finding their names in the 1903 Minneapolis City Directory,

as Minnie was his widow in 1903, and he was listed too, ( both under "Olson", their new last name) .

Arlin Laier

Arlin Laier, 87, died on June 12, 2007, at home in Federal Way, Wash.Arlin was born in Cushing on April 18, 1920. His parents were Mike and Alma Laier. He was brother to Francella, Annabel, Robert and George.On Jan. 10, 1942, Arlin married Helen Palmer of St. Croix Falls. They were married in Rolla, Mo., where Arlin was serving in the Army. After the war, he enrolled at the University of Minnesota and earned a degree in engineering. After college in 1949, Arilin, Helen and their first child, Bruce, moved to Seattle, where Arlin had a 33-year career working at Boeing Aircraft Company. During this time Dennis, Brian, Nancy and Connie were added to their family. They now have 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Memorial services were held at Glendale Lutheran Church on June 15, in Burien, Wash., where Arlin had been a member for 57 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Alma; and by his wife in 1999; sister and brother-in-law, Francella and Charles Kribs; and brother-in-law, Eldon Lucken.
