Jeg lurer på om noen greier å finne Pernille Pedersdtr f 22.3.1795 på båten event, og hvor hun havner i Amerika. Hun reiste i 1872 var fra Hagerstuen u Sønsteby Toten, 83 år gml å reiste antagelig fra Oslo, med dtr Berte , Skulle vært artig å vite om hun i det hele tatt kom levende gjennom reisen og event hvor lenge hun levde og hvor. Se der ja, jeg så på FT 1865 at hun var enke og alderen. Jeg skulle gjerne ha visst om hun kom fram til det forgjettede land.

I flg. opplysningene her så skal Pernille være født/døpt? 22/3 1795. Om det er tilfelle så skulle hun være 77 år, og ikke 83 år i 1872. Så derfor lurer jeg bare på om det kanskje er en annen Pernille.

 

Jeg finner heller ikke noen Pernille f/d. 22/3 1795 på Toten.

Maurice Casper Grondahl • 1923 - 2002

 

Maurice Casper Grondahl, 78, 3100 11th Ave. SE C5, Minot, and longtime Granville area resident, died Wednesday, August 28, 2002 at the Souris Valley Care Center in Velva.

 

Maurice was born November 23, 1923, in Wolf Point, Montana, the son of Casper and Dora (Brinkman) Grondahl. He moved with his parents to Deering, ND, then to Granville, ND, where he graduated from high school in 1943.

 

In 1944 he entered the United States Army and served overseas in the Philippines and Okinawa, during World War II. He was wounded during his overseas service and received the Purple Heart. In 1946 he was honorably discharged and returned to the Granville area to farm and ranch with his dad. On July 3, 1953 he married Lorraine Johnson at Willow City, ND. In 1963 they took over the farming and ranching operation near Granville and remained on the farm until 1994, when they moved to Minot. Maurice entered the Souris Valley Care Center in Velva on August 2, 2002, where he since had lived.

 

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Granville, and served on the church council. He also served as supervisor on the township board for many years. While living in Minot he attended Bethany Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.

 

Survivors: Wife, Lorraine, Minot; sons, Jerome (Marlys) Grondahl, Granville, and Darin Grondahl, Minot; daughters, Janelle (Mark) Kuhnhenn, Towner, and Karen (Ralph) Kuhnhenn, Minot; five grandchildren, John Nostdahl, Shawn and Ashley Kuhnhenn, and Derek and Allison Kuhnhenn; two step grandchildren, Jolene Ratts and Wesley Nostdahl; one great-granddaughter, Kyla Nostdahl; brother, Donald (Calley) Grondahl, Lake Park, MN; sister, Dorothy Erickson, Minot; sister-in-law, Mary Grondahl, Providence, KY; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kerry Grondahl, his parents, Casper and Dora Grondahl, four brothers, Chester, Kenneth, James and Arvin Grondahl, and two sisters, Eunice Hall and Fern Burns.

 

Funeral: Saturday, August 31, 2002, at 11:00 a.m., at Bethany Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.

 

Visitation: There will be no reviewal, but friends may sign the register book, Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot. Saturday there will be no reviewal at the church, but friends may sign the register one hour prior to the service.

Former north Wolf Point resident, Esther G. Carlson, 86, a homemaker, died Jan. 14, 2008, at the Phillips County Hospital of natural causes.

 

Services were at 7 p.m. Jan. 18, at the Adams Memorial Chapel in Malta. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Hi-Line Retirement Center in Malta or the First Lutheran Church in Wolf Point or charity of choice. Adams Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.

 

Survivors include her children, Gene (Diana) Carlson, Arvada, Colo.; Janice (Greg) Kirkwood, Malta; Donna (Byron Haugen) Rossman, Williston, N.D.; brothers, John Olson, Glasgow, and Marvin Olson, Bismarck, N.D.; grandchildren, David Carlson of Spokane, Wash., Clarissa Carlson, Colorado Springs, Dawn Neff and David (Stacey) Neff, Denver, Colo., JaTonna Whisler, Wichita, Kan., Garren Kirkwood, Malta, John Rossman, Tacoma, Wash., Rebecca (Stephen) Mitchell, Tampa, Fla.; and three great-grandchildren.

 

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Harry O. Carlson on April 23, 1996, son Larry A. Carlson on March 23, 2004; brothers Donald Olson, August Olson; sisters, Jane Hays, Olive Wiebe, and Helen Jones, who died Jan. 9, 2008.

 

Esther was born Feb. 5, 1921, in Deering, N.D., the daughter of Mathias and Hilda A. (Grondahl) Olson. They moved to the Benrud area north of Wolf Point when she was a child. She was raised and educated there.

 

She married Harry O. Carlson on Sept. 28, 1941, in Wolf Point. They worked on the family ranch in the Volt area, north of Wolf Point. They later bought the ranch, raising their four children there. Upon retiring they moved to Sidney where Harry died in 1996. After a tragic house fire in 2004 that claimed the life of her oldest son, she moved to Malta and resided in the Hi-Line Retirement Center. Esther's passion was raising a garden. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and visiting with people. Whoever stopped by, on the ranch or in Sidney, would enjoy a fresh pot of coffee and baked goodies.

Patricia Mae Fredrickson and Shawn Michael Kuhnhenn announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Their parents are Calvin and Kim Fredrickson, Minot, and Mark and Janelle Kuhnhenn, Towner.

 

She graduated from Minot High School in 2000 and from Minot State University in 2004 with a nursing degree. She is employed by Trinity Hospital in Minot.

 

He graduated from Towner High School in 2000 and from Minot State University in 2007 with an earth science degree. He is employed by Burlington Elementary School in Burlington.

 

The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 26, at 5 p.m. in Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. Invitations have been sent for the wedding. No invitations are required for the reception or dance to follow in The Vegas Motel in Minot.
