Hei!

Halvbrødrene Ludvig Faye f. 15. juli 1862 i Eidsvåg/Hamre og Hans Hagelsteen Faye f. 25. okt. 1883 i Eidsvåg i Åsane/Hamre. Foreldrene var Hans Hagelsteen Faye (1829-1898), Anna Sophie Hagelsteen (1826-1866) og Diana Karina Hagelsteen (1844-1935)

Ludvig emigrerte i 1882: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=15&filnamn=EMIBERG&gardpostnr=10153&merk=10153#ovre

Hans emigrerte i 1905: http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=14&filnamn=EMIBERG&gardpostnr=53754&merk=53754#ovre

Brødrene var bosatt i Amerika ved skiftet etter søsteren Henrikke Wiese Faye i 1928.

Er det noen som kan hjelpe meg med å finne ut når og hvor brødrene døde, og om de ble gift?

Mvh.

Hans FrederickFAYE of Longmont died at his home on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005. He was 92.

Mr. Faye was born Nov. 5, 1912, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Hans H. and Betty C. (Thoreson) Faye. He grew up and attended schools in South Sioux City, Neb., before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1935.

Mr. Faye began his military career serving in the “F” Troop with the U.S. 4th Cavalry at Fort Meade, S.D.

He was proud of being a member of one of the last regular mounted units before it converted to using motorcycles and Jeeps. Through his 22-year military career, he served as chief clerk and officer in the finance department at various duty stations, including the Panama Canal Zone and the Finance Office in London.

Mr. Faye retired from active military duty in 1957 with the rank of second lieutenant. After a brief time on the family ranch in Darby, Mont., he finished his work career as manager and treasurer of Ellsworth Air Force Federal Credit Union in South Dakota, retiring in 1978.

He married Edna A. Melton on Dec. 23, 1940, in Woonsocket, S.D.

The couple lived at various duty stations around the world and in Rapid City, S.D., until moving to Albuquerque, N.M., in 1986.

Upon his wife’s death in 1994, Mr. Faye moved to Longmont to be near family.

When he wasn’t working in his yard or flowerbeds, or spending time with family members, Mr. Faye could be found woodworking in his shop or telling jokes and stories with people in his woodcarving group at the Senior Center. He was also a member of the Retired Officer’s Association and looked forward to its annual gatherings.

Mr. Faye was preceded in death by his wife; parents; four brothers, Donald, Fred, Ralph and Earl Faye; and four sisters, Elsie Ruffato, Diana Greslin, Alice Peterson and Gladys Miner.

He is survived by his son, James F. Faye and his wife Elin of Amesbury, Mass.; a grandson, Daren Faye and his wife Michelle of Longmont; two granddaughters, Laurie Faye of Longmont and Nissa Faye of Amesbury; a daughter-in-law, Jana Faye of Longmont; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Faye; one brother, Lloyd Faye and his wife Alice of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Margaret Erickson of Superior, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Helen Van Nice of Rapid City; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary, Longmont. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2005, at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. High Frontier Honor Guard of Peterson Air Force Base will present military honors

Tusen takk for kjempegod hjelp!

Det eneste jeg mangler da er dødsåret til Ludvig Faye, som skal være død etter 1928.

Ludvig ankom Ellis Island 20. oktober 1910.
