Arkivverket - Anette Skogseth Clausen Skrevet Februar 14, 2012 Del Skrevet Februar 14, 2012 First of all, you should change your display name to your given name and surname. Second, we have a separate forum for questions regarding handwritten text and transcription/interpretation. If you submit your questions there, it will be read by our users and many of them are willing to help you. http://forum.arkivverket.no/index.php?/forum/7-tyding-av-skannede-kilder/ I will have a go at the record you wanted translated: http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=758&idx_id=758&uid=ny&idx_side=-584 170. Dead 14. December, Buried 20. December, Fattiglig (=Poor), Name Maren Hansdatter, Arbeidskone (=worker), Age 65 Aar (=years), Residence Akers?? Pleiestiftelse (=Aker hospital), Cause of death ??rbus lupates?? I am not sure if it says Akers as the name of the hospital, I cannot find any reference to Akers Pleiestiftelse anywhere, and the actual Aker Hospital did not exist before 1895. The medical term for the cause of death is in latin and there as well I am not able to transcribe all the letters, nor translate the latin. Anne-Lise Hansen Skrevet April 18, 2012 Del Skrevet April 18, 2012 I think the cause of death is Morbus hepates, and that it means liver disease. Morbus may refer to: Latin for disease. Noun hēpar (genitive hēpatis); n, third declension liver (organ) Inflection Number Singular Plural nominative hēpar hēpata genitive hēpatis hēpatum dative hēpatī hēpatibus accusative hēpar hēpata ablative hēpate hēpatibus vocative hēpar hēpata http://en.wiktionary...iki/hepar#Latin Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
