skotskjente Skrevet Oktober 14, 2013 Del Skrevet Oktober 14, 2013 I hope it is not inappropriate to ask for help in deciphering church records but it is so much easier for local people to decipher some enries and I have managed to translate hundreds. I have an entry for one of my husband's ancesters, viz. Thrond Pedersen Godtnok u. Kleve from Østre Gausdal. He was baptized Nov 7, 1700 in Gausdal - Dom 22 p. Trin Following 'Dom: 22 p. Trin' is a word which I think should indicate the church but this should be Østre Gausdal Kirke; is there another name for this church? Thrond's entry is the second one under that date and I cannot decipher the father's name, it appears to me to be Peder Larsen perhaps indicating that he was a husmann uten jord? I'm not sure but I think that the squiggle at the end indicates the patronymic. Any help would be appreciated, thanks http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:NBN:no-a1450-kb20070603640231.jpg Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
Svein Arnolf Bjørndal Skrevet Oktober 15, 2013 Del Skrevet Oktober 15, 2013 The word is "Hieme", meaning "(at) home" = Østre Gausdal kirke. But are you sure that this entry you have found is the right one? I read the second entry as "Peder Liens Tore". Lenke til kommentar Del på andre sider
