Tarald Egeland, Hægebostad

I am looking for some help with my 6th g-grandfather, Tarald Oselsen/Aaselsen. Most of the time, I see his farm referred to simply as Egeland. But I also see records for a Tarald at Ros-Egeland. And occasionally, he is shown as Tarald Olsen. I was hoping there is someone out there with a bygdebok who can tell me if there is more than one Tarald at Egeland/Ros-Egeland. I believe he married Asgier Olsdatter Egeland in 1729. My 5th g-grandfather (his son) is Osel/Aasel Taraldsen, f. 1748, who married Lisbet Guttormsdatter Giedeboe (Liknes). I fear I am making incorrect assumptions. I would really appreciate some help!

I wish I could give more specific info about Tarald & Asgier. But unfortunately, I have no indicators of his age other than getting married in 1729:

There may be more children, but these are all I could find. I believe Tarald and Asgier have died by the 1801 census. At the farm (Egeland), I found Giertrud & Aasa, unmarried. My ancestor, Osul/Osel/Aasel, died in 1798. His widow, Lisbet Guttormsdtr, is living at "Gedeboe" in Lechnes. I searched the 1801 census for all of Vest-Agder, but didn't see any other matches for Tarald's children.

 

I am trying to piece together what I can about this family, but the kirkebøker are difficult for me to read. Finally, I think there is a possiblity Tarald has a brother Ole at the same farm. I see Tarald and Ole as a witnesses at the baptism of each other's children.

 

I am hoping there is more about Tarald in the bygdebok...
