I am searching in the Vinje and Rauland area.  I am looking for church records prior to 1717, which seems to be the earliest that Digitalarkivet has online.  I am interested in verifying dates and sources that I have received from printed material where sources aren't available.  Do you have any suggestions regarding where I should look?

We don’t have Parish registers from Vinje older than 1717. Rauland became a parish in 1859 and also includes Øyfjell and Møsstrand. Rauland church was in 1859 separated from Vinje parish, Øyfjell church from Lårdal parish and Møsstrand church from parishes Vinje, Seljord and Tinn. Because of this, information from Rauland parish might also be found in Parish registers from Lårdal, Seljord or Tinn. Because of this, it might require some effort to find what you are looking for.
