vi vet ikke hva faren var.Jeg hadde ikke hørt om hverken gutten eller moren før kloke hoder her inne fant de.Imponert over hvor hjelsomme folk er på arkivverket.

Jeg har trålet kirkebøkene etter Einar men ikke funnet noe

Aadne, Odne eller Aanen kan være aktuelle. Rogalending?

- Ja. Navnet forekommer sjeldent i Kristianias nærområde, men i Telemark finner man i alle fall navnet bokstavert som Aane. En skikkelig bærtur kan jo gå ut på at etternavnet dreier seg om et stedsnavn, ÅNES, - i bestemt form, - Ånesen. Men da må vi nordover fra Nord-Møre, og oppover langs kysten.

 

At Einar og hans mor ikke holder til i samme husstand i 1885 kan skyldes at moren er død. Her støter vi på problemet vedr.  mangelen på aktuelle kirkebøker for Oslo Hospital/Gamlebyen. (Jeg tror Smaalensgt.10 ligger i dette sognet).

 

Kanskje det kan være en ide å lete etter både mor og sønn i listene over døde/begravede. Barnedødligheten i Kristiania var meget stor i 1880-åra.

 

Så et lite spørsmål til Gro Anita: Siden etterlysningen ble lagt ut, - så har du vel kanskje noen utfyllende opplysninger om denne familien som ikke er fremkommet av hjelperne her. (som f.eks det fulle navnet på 2 døtre født før 1865,). Her kan også tilsynelatende uvesentlige opplysninger være til stor hjelp. Er det bråstopp for kunnskapen om alle familiemedlemmer i 1885?

Petter Hansen og Karen Olsdatter hadde en datter Maren Indiana, som er 6 år i ft 1865.

Maren Indiana er født i april 1860.

Utfra tanken om at Einar f. 1883 har feilskrevet etternavn, fant jeg denne Einar, f. 1883, døpt på Rikshospitalet, med foreldre fyrbøter Edward Arnesen, 24 år og pige Maren Indiane Hansen, 23 år.

dette er jo veldig interessant..har vært i kirkebøkene i omtrent hele dag.....kan jo godt være det er Maren Indianes sønn...det er jo enten henne eller Hanna Olivia eller Anne Marie

ARNSON, Erling L., 91, was quietly freed by our Lord from suffering on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012. He was born in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, NY on October 17, 1920. On February 19, 1941, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was a Staff Sergeant flying on the B24, "Boomerang Betsy." That crew was shot down on May 18, 1944 and became Prisoners of War in Bulgaria. Erling and Beatrice H. (Gilroy) Arnson were married over 68 years. He was a loving father to Sharyn L. Jaxheimer (William) of Lutz, FL, the late Wayne S. Arnson (Janet) and Kerri E. Sherwood of Kenosha, WI. He was the proud grand-father of five: Wendy J. Durk (Keith) of Columbia, MO, Scott R. Arnesen (Kathy) of Lakeview, WA, Heather L. Jaxheimer-Mills (Brian) of Land O' Lakes, FL, Kirsten L. Sherwood of Minneapolis, MN and Craig W. Sherwood of Kenosha, WI. He was blessed to have great grandchildren as well. He will be greatly missed by all family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Loyless Funeral Home. The committal will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Florida National Cemetery.

The family of Erling L. Arnson has invited the Patriot Guard Riders to stand in silent respect for this hero.

 

Mr. Arnson struggled with an illness for a month. He returned home with Hospice in attendance last Sunday at 6:36 PM. He died on Monday, Memorial Day, at 4:35 AM with his beloved wife by his side.

 

While serving in the Army Air Corps as a staff sergeant, he was shot down on May 18, 1944 over the Ploesti oil fields and was incarcerated as a Prisoner of War. He had enlisted in the service on February 19, 1941 and was discharged on August 19, 1945. He earned the following medals and/or awards: Purple Heart, Air Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and WWII Victory Medal.

MISSION REPORT: I like to start with it was good to be back and see all my Brothers. I would like to Thank the family for inviting the PGR to stand a Flag Line in silent respect for there Hero. I was pleased with the turn out of 13 PGR Brothers coming out in the rain and standing the Flag Line. Thank you, Also I want to thank the USMC of Spring Hill, Fl. Post #708 for there part well job done. This was one Hero that will be missed but he will not be forgotten. He lived one hell of a life while he was in service with being shot down and a POW. Mr. Arnson you did your service well now it's our turn to stand for you. Rest in Peace and God be with you. You will not be forgotten Thank You.
