Markus Langmo

Markus Langmo emigrerte før 1900 første gang til USA/Canada. Han kom tilbake og giftet seg rundt 1900 med Ema og reiste tilbake til USA/ Canada 1901 sammen med sin kone.

Markus skal være født 20-3-1873 og hans kone skal være født 15-8-1881 etter opplysninger jeg har fått.  Jeg har ikke funnet ut hvor de ble født og hvor de giftet seg?

Takk for svar. Dette kan se lovende ut, men jeg har fått oppgitt at han har en søster som heter Ellen født i 1864. Har funnet en Ellen  Kkristine Petersdatter født 4-7-1864 i Vefsen. Hun skal også ha emigrert  til Canada gift men Mathias Schile.

I am trying to find the parents and siblings of Matthias Schiele, my great great grandfather. We know from a death record in Alberta, Canada that he was born in Wuertt. Donaukreis, Langanau, Germany on 5 April, 1867. He married in South Dakota in 1897 and moved to Alberta before 1902. We have a family legend that he came from the Black Forest region. That's all we know. Any information would be appreciated. We're stuck.

Matthias Schiele was my grandfather. He married Ellen Langmo on Nov. 14, 1897 in Charles Mix, South Dakota and moved to Edberg, Alberta, Canada in about 1902. He had five siblings: Herman, William, Palma, Alfa, and Dagny. All of his siblings are deceased. Many of his descendents live in Alberta and some in British Columbia.

It sounds like we have a common ancestor in Matthias Schiele. He was my great grandfather also. His son Herman is my grandfather. According to my family records Matthias was born April 5, 1867, married Ellen Langmo on 14 Nov. 1897 in South Dakota and died July 13, 1960. Would you like to compare and share records? I would like to share information with you on the Schiele family tree. I wonder if you have any information about relatives that may be in Germany. I believe Matthias had a sister and I believe her married name was Schmidt. I think she had a son named Albert and he came to Canada and stayed with Matthias but returned to Germany. It would be interesting to know more about relatives in Germany and about Matt's ancestry. It would be nice to have a record of Matt's descendents here in North America. Please keep in touch.

Are you my dads couisin? His name was Leslie Jule Schiele. Do you live in Alberta or B.C.?

I don't know any info about Matthias in Germany except his birthplace that I got from somewhere. I am having a difficult time getting info about Germany. i have Schiele relatives from Germany. but their names where Christian Schiele, (1878-1963), married to matilda (1881-1946) and they had 6 kids: anton (b. 1904), maria, joseph (1912-1964), othilie, christian and geroge (1918-1943 died in the war). my greatgradnfather is anton. we know the kids of maria and christian, as my father found one and wrote to her (she still lived in germany). if any names connect to your family tree we should share! my email is scarletta99@yahoo.com
