Lance R. Sanberg, of Hoffman Estates, formerly from Chicago, Oct. 23, 1929 to April 29, 2011, beloved husband of Barbara, nee Bantlin; loving father of Jon, Karlen (Jerry Losch) and Tracy; cherished grandfather to Justin and Rachel; brother to John Maynard, Muzette Dorothy, and Rolfe Carlton; uncle to dozens of loving nieces and nephews; devoted friend to many. Lance worked for Mack & Parker in Chicago for over 30 years. An avid jazz drummer and jazz enthusiast, he enjoyed playing with various bands over the years. His world was filled with books and films of all kinds and he enjoyed lively discussion about the arts. He dedicated his life to making the world a more beautiful place through kindness, humor, music, knowledge and love. Anyone who knew him will agree that he was successful in that endeavor. We all miss him, but he will live on forever in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to a music project in your community.
