Need help with birth record for Solomon Jakobsen

I need help with the birth record for Solomon Jakobsen born 22 Oct 1819 Hjelmeland, Rogoland. Is someone able to translate the names and occupations/farm names?

The spelling is "Salomon" and (father) "Salomons."

Depends on your requirements for certainty.

It seems so; the sparse data included match: Age, fathers first name and surname/farm name.

There could possibly be another Jakob Ramsfjell, also with a son Salomon.

Kjell, thank you so much for those details. I look at the record and do not see more than one date and a name or two.

Hello Ivar. Since I posted, I did notice his name, and all my other Salmons, were wrong all along in our tree which was why I could not find him in the census. Once I started trying different spellings of the name I found Salmon Jakobsen and his family in 1865 in Hjelmeland.

 

I have now changed all source documents in the Canada Ramsfield family tree names from Solomon (except for one in Britain) to Salmon. I prefer accuracy as much as possible because if other people are looking for the same person they have the right name to start with.

 

Thank you so much for looking at the records. I thought they were the same person but sometimes the records are difficult to decipher. There were no other records for a Salmon Jakobsen in the area that matched the other information and I was able to find siblings that matched as well.
