Dear Everyone

I am trying to confirm the parentage of:

 

Christoffer Hansen   born 9 Nov 1844 Larvik Norway.

He was a seaman.   He left Norway on the ship Wallasea in 1865-66 fpr Australia.  He has a Master Mariner certificate no. 5917

 

Possible parents are:  Hans Nilsen and Marte Christoffersdatter.

 

But I need confirmation as to his correct parents, grandparents and grreat grandparents.   I need names, dates and places of birth, marriage, death.

Dear Doreen,

 

There was a couple named Hans Nilsson and Martha Christophersdotter having children about that time; however, they didn't live in Larvik!  This couple farmed the Hennum farm in Lier Co., Norway near Drammen, about 75 miles north of Larvik.  They incidentally did have a son named Christopher, but he was born on March 9, 1845:

May I ask you what is your source of information that «your» Christopher was indeed born in Larvik on the date you have given?

What's your source for his birth date/place/name of parents?

 

Any links showing his Australian records?

 

Did he leave Norway on the ship Wallasea - not a British port?
