Grandmother's Family

My grandfather's name was Niels Johnsen Lervold and he was born in 1858 in Næsset Norway.

 

My grandmother's name was Laura Elisabeth in born 1862 in Bolsøy, Møre og Romsdal. Her parents is: teacher Knud Pedersen Aare and wife Marie Pedersdatter.

Knud Pederssen 45 year, fisherman

Marie Pedersdatter 43 year, wife

Anton Knudsen 12 year

Magnus Knudsen 8 year

Laura Knudsdatter 4 year

Einar Knudsen 1 year

At the same farm also lived Ane Andersdatter 66 year and Karn Pedersdatter 45 year. I believe this is Knud’s mother and sister."

 

I am hoping someone can help me expand on who here parents were.

I have attached a file that I received several months ago.

 

Elen Bonsach in the first character and is related to my 3rd Great father, Lars Olsen Lillenhagen (1770-1844).

 

The trail on the file goes back past 1024 and I have some other clarification on the names and dates.

 

But, there are holes in the trail where I do not have clarification.

 

The 1024 date belongs to Håkon Ivarsen living in Sør-Trøndelag, Norway.

Your grandmother's parents were Knud Pedersen and Marie Pedersdatter. They were married 24 Oct 1847 in Bolsøy church (just east of the city of Molde in Møre og Romsdal county). At the time of their marriage, Knud (age 26 1/2) was an army corporal living at his father's farm at Årø (today the site of Molde airport), and Marie (age 25) was living at her father's cottage on the farm at Fuglset (now inside the city of Molde). Knud Pedersen was born 28 Jan 1821 at Årø to Peder Knudsen, a cottager and school teacher, and his wife Anne Ottosdatter. See https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070911640011, left-hand side, entry #3. Knud was confirmed in 1834 (at this point called Knud Pedersen Uhren); his father Peder Knudsen was here still called a school teacher. Marie Pedersdatter was born 19 Oct 1821 at Stamne farm in Sør-Fron parish in Uppland county (about 120 miles as the crow flies southeast of Molde) to farmer Peder Olsen and his wife Anne Andersdatter. See https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070603550361, right-hand side, entry #92. Her family apparently left that place in 1833. Peder Olsen died 28 Sep 1849 at Fuglset, age 69; Anne Andersdatter (and Marie's sister Karen Pedersdatter, born 1819) were still living at Fuglset together with Marie and her husband Knud at the time of the 1865 census.

 

To take the family tree a bit further, according to the discussion at http://www.disnorge.no/slektsforum/viewtopic.php?t=39235, Peder Knudsen (father of your great-grandfather Knud Pedersen) was born 21 March 1786 at Bordvika farm in Bolsøy parish and in 1817 married Anne Ottesdatter, who had been born 1792 at Indre Årø to Otte Sivertsen of Indre Årø (originally "of Trondhjem") and Kari Pedersdatter Krogseter Årøhagen.

 

Peder Knudsen in turn was the son of Knud Knudsen, born 1738 at Rechdal or Rekdal in Vestnes parish, Møre og Romsdal county, who in 1782 at Bolsøy married Ingeborg Pedersdatter of Bordvik, daughter of Peder Trondsen of Bordvik and Martha Jensdatter Dragset.

I am still trying to figure how to use this site.

 

I am in Las Vegas working on my tree.

 

I did find Knud and Marie and was able to correct some of the date that you provided.

 

From what I see on my tree, Knud/Marie were the parents of Laura Elizabeth Knudsen and Nels Johnsen Lervold.

 

My tree follows Nels to John Nilsen Lillehagen to Nils Larsen to Nils Larsen Åker to Elen Johanne Nilsdatter Bonsach and so forth.

 

I have attached a file that started with Elen Johanne Nilsdatter Bonsach and continues back.

 

I have some separate sources that verify some of the accuracy, but not all.

My brother lived in Woodridge Virginia before he and his wife passed away several year back.

Regarding Knud Paderssen and Marie Padersdatter, I am attaching a file that I received recently.
