Location of Puumanki, Finmark

I am trying to find the location on a map of Puumanki, Finnmark.  It was settled in 1870s and 1880s by Finns going north to the Arctic Sea.

My family Nevala lived there but I cannot find it on any map.  I think the location is currently in Russia but would have been in Finnmark then.

Many thanks.  Just what i was looking for!

I am also looking for a Parish Register for Pummanki for the 1877 - 1895 years when it was in Norway.  My grandfather was born there and I can find no records.  Erick Nevala born 28 Aug 1887 and his siblings.

As I understand it, this area was never Norwegian, but historians must correct me if I am wrong.

I searched for Erick in the church books for Vardö and Vadsö parishes with no luck in finding him.

Is it not more likely that this family used the church(es) in the Petsamo area, since I understand they were Finnish? Even if the books from this area are not fully transcribed and digitalized in HISKI, maybe the books are scanned by the genealogical society in Finland?
