Emigration to Chile

Hello everyone ... Does anyone know if there are any lists of people and families emigrated to Chile? ... Not many arrived and the majority was linked to the whaling industry since the late nineteenth century, and early twentieth century

There are parish registers for Den norske sjømannsmisjon i Buenos Aires:

And for Santos, Brasil, but these parish registers are from 1940-2000. 

 

I guess you have to try to search for persons in the emigration records, or try to find immigration records for Chile. Here is a link to some information in Family Search:

Thanks, as the Norwegian immigration in Chile was later, there is not much data about dates and ships that arrived ... about my own family, I do not have exact data. I thought that in Norway there could be a list with the names of all those who emigrated to Chile

Thanks, Kristian Pedersen and his family, who came from Sarpsborg and emigrated to Ancud in 1901, are my relatives ... I did not know that they traveled to Ancud, because they were based in Valdivia

I got a lot more hits by using "chil*" rather than "chile" in the search (the country was often spelled "Chili" rather than "Chile" back then) - but still no Sverre Storaker.

Hola! no creo que exista una lista comun pero si existen listas dispersas, sobre los emingrantes desde Noruega a Chile, pero haz investigado en el proyecto "HULA" donde existe un archivo sobre la imigracion noruega a Latin America.

Tu sabes sobre la iglesia Mormona y sus archivos? si vas a Santiago al templo principal,  podrias preguntar si ellos tienen acceso al archivo mormon noruego. ya que ellos han comprado esa informacion en muchos paises. Saludos de un vecino lagino. en Noruega

Gracias, estuve revisando el HULA y es un registro muy completo, tanto que también incluye noruegos que estuvieron de paso por distintas ciudades de Chile. Con respecto a los mormones, suelo revisar sus archivos, cuando trabajo con mis ancestros alemanes  ya que contienen varios censos y registros abiertos en catálogo, para ser revisados en línea...Pero tratándose de noruegos, no hay mejor página que ésta y por supuesto, el foro
