I don't speak Norwegian, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is being said about my great great grandpa Knut Tarjeisson Helle.

I found these two sections talking about him from the Valle Kommune books.

Hello Murray


It goes like this..

From "folketeljingi 1865"


The census of 1865 tells us that Birgit and Lidvard then lived in Røysi (a farm name) but that there also lived one other person there named Knud Tarjeisson . He is called a "country's merchant) and is 39 years old - unmarried.
Probably this is Knud Tarjeisson Helle born 1837.
This year there were two cows and two sheep on this farm......

These (old) dialects do not always give me meaning either, so that is highly understandable 🙂
