Hi, I’m needing help finding the birth and death certificates for a Maja Caisa Såfgren

born in Sweden ( I think ). She had a son named Johan Peter Palmstrom with her partner (BET) Palmstrom in 1777 in Uppsala, Sweden. Thx

May be Ann-Mary tried to indicate that

1) The name of Johan Peter's mother was not Løfgren, cf. the referred thread with interpretation.

2) You will have much better chances to find information about her if you ask in a Swedish forum.

Thx oh ok, I’m sorry Ann-Mary Engum and thx Ivar S. Ertesvag, Also I’m not sure where she was born, maybe Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, i was just asking the question, if anyone could help with the search. So how do you spell her surname, Lafgren,? cheers Mark Peterson.

Johan Peter was born i Uppsala - according to the record you have found.

In the other thread, I interpreted her name to Maja-Caisa Safgren.

I should say that the "a" is a bit uncertain;  but I see no other alternative interpretation..  There is no "ö", and the L looks quite different (there are several Ls on the preceeding page).

Transcriptions made by Familysearch often contains errors, like in this case (where they missed the father's title and the mother's surname).

Uppsala is in Sweden and it is a Swedish name  ("-gren" is a typical Swedish surname element; an both Maja and Caisa are widely used in Sweden.)

Thus, the obvious place to look for Maja-Caisa is in Sweden.

There is nothing wrong in asking here. Indeed, there are some participants of this forum with some experience in Swedish sources,

However, the chances would (hopefully) be far better in a Swedish forum. Thus the advice.

Ok, the Swedish forum people found this for me.

She was born 1755 in Uppsala. It's a little complicated but her father was trädgårdsdräng (garden worker) Johan Kiälgren. He later changed job to ryttare, rider, probably in the military, and changed last name to Säfgren. Her mother was Catharina "Caisa" Lenström.

You will find them in this house exam:

When Johan Peter was born in 1777 Maja Caisa and P. Almström, whatever his first name was, was not married. That's why Maja Caisa and her child moved back with her parents. But they mixed things up in the book, it isn't Maja Caisa that was born in 1776, it's her son, and I don't understand why they think he was born in Denmark and wrong year, maybe she had two childs.

I would suggest you try to find Maja Kajsa in the household records for Danmark at the time Johan Peter was conceived. She may be named only Jansdotter ... Her parents lived in Danmark until June 1777, and she's not noted when they move out to Uppsala (Danmark (C) AI:5 (1774-1780) sid 186).

Also look for an Almström or Palmström, possibly a "Betjänt" (which also may be something like a butler).
