Need help deciphering a probate index card for Orm Olavsen Birkeland from Vikedal parish in Rogaland.

And a very bad and inadequate translation:

 

Ole, Johannes and Helga have not

been given their dowry

dowry will be paid with ?4 rd.

Property in Birkeland and Dale in Avaldsnes.

On the previous page, it seems that the name is Helge (No. 7) and that it is a male (Helga is a female name),

but the original protocol could decide this.

I'm a little confused.  I thought dowery's were given by the family for daughters and not sons?  On the previous page- my own poor translation seems to indicate that the share of the inheritance for their 3 daughters were to go to their husbands- correct?

As I said, a bad and inadequate translation. Bryllupsgjerd is to hold a wedding. Hjemfølge is dowry. So why the three boys should have a dowry? I frankly have no idea.

I cannot see any mentioning of inheritance concerning the three daughters on the previous page. It says that the husbands were present.
