Looking for information on Knut Oddsen Fevoll (Hogganvik)

Looking for information on Knut Oddsen Fevoll (Hogganvik).  He is found in a family tree on GENI website.  He is said to be the son of Odd Sjovatson Fevoll and Guri Toresdatter Fevoll.  However all attached source documents don't show Knut as a their son- however he is shown as husband to Anna Fartegnsdatter Valen and N.N. Sevatsdatter Skiftun which appear to be supported by those same documents.  I don't have access to the digital bygdeboks.  Was wondering if someone could look up the brukar's list for Fevoll (Fevold) farm in Hjelmeland parish for Knut and his parents/siblings and if possible attach a scan so I can continue my research.

The only information we have on Knut is that he lived on the farm Valen and payed relatively high taxes in 1563, indicating that he was married to the widow of Laurits Valen. The hypotesis that Knut was the father of Laurits Knutson Hogganvik and therefore Knut Oddson Fevoll, is wrong, according to Eldar Myre, Ætt og Heim, 1996 p.29-73. Odd Fevoll had only one son, Sevat. We dont know who Knut (Valen) was.

 

According to the Geni-reference the non-existing Knut Oddson Fevoll was also married to his brothers daughter. Dont trust anything you find on Geni.

Thanks for the help Bjarne.  I know there are alot of issues with information found on GENI.  Here in the USA I don't have access to the digital archive sources you have so I have to use it as a starting point.  In some cases they do include copies of information from bygdebok's which help but again as I have learned some bygdeboks contain errors.  I cross reference as much as I can using parish and census records and the occasional probate record I can find on digitalarkivet.  But for people before 1664 the supporting data is pretty scarce.  Trust comes with verification.  Again thanks for the help.
