Anton, in August, 1907 Andreas Johnson was a sponsor at a baptism for Knut/Charles' son Albert. Another sponsor was a Miss Margit (I can't make out the last name)

Well he deserted that one ship. But does not mean that he did not work on other ships out of various US ports through the years until he settled down in Philadelphia.

Well there are other candidates for this Margit. The ELCA churches did tend to use the norwegian names for the records, so Margit could also be found under another name. It is a bit of a shot in the dark for who this Margit and Ingeborg could be. Perhaps searching ELCA records on Ancestry will give you an answer. Here is one Margit

You should be able to put a good well documented addition to your family tree with this information. A good starting point is the Bygdebok pages that Carl posted. Using that information you can use Digitalarkivet and Ancestry.com to find the original documents. Add that information to a tree and you will have a tree with more documentation than most people provide. 

 

Here is one example. The Bygdebok states that Nr 29 Gotskalk Johannessen married Ingeborg Simensdatter. Do a search for that in Digitalarkivet turns up the transcribed record.

Hi Anton! I am working on the Bygdebok information now. Everyone has been so kind and found so much material. I am having a great time working on it. One question for you, "how" would you handle the entry of Charles Burton Johnson and Knut Bertinus Johannessen on a tree. I left it as two separate people for now and entered the same parents on both profiles. I wonder if in the end I should merge them? Do you have any suggestions?

I also have an Ancestry Tree and ran into much the same problem. My solution was to use the American name my grandfather used that is Anton Hagelee. I then put into the Notes an explanation including his Norwegian name Anton Olsen Høgeli.

Yes it does seem to be described that way on Ancestry.com. But it must be an error in the Ancestry.com website that causes the PR after Moster Sogn to be given as Puerto Rico.  

 

The description is for Moster Sogn ie Moster sub-parish

That stands for Moster Sogn Finnås prgj.
