Hello again dear Friends,

Two cousins Magne Hansen Foosnes or Foosnæs (born on 24 Mar. 1889 in Beitstad and died in 1974 in Argentina) and his cousin Trygve Foosnes or Foosnæ(born on 03 December 1887 in Beitstaden, Norway – not sure when he died) both travelled to Argentina in 1910 but I have not been able to find any dates for this travel nor shipping manifest.

Can anybody help me with this?

Tusen takk!

Vennlig hilsen,

Elisabeth

Dear Anton,

Thank you very much for your swift reply. Yes, this one I also found. However, I am looking for their trip to Argentina from Norway in 1910-ish.

Thank you very much! I believe you have also helped me in the past. Very kind.

have a nice day!

There will be more articles / posts about the family in Beitstad local newspaper or other sources. There are probably many people here who are better known locally than I  im that can help.

Mysterious! Selv om de "worked their way over", ville kapteinen ha skrevet navnene deres ned paa en liste...

Mvh

Without my knowing, I do not think these guys had to work for the crossing, and probably not many ships sailed from Norway to Argentina. So maybe they had to go to Belgium, Holland, Germany or England first.

Could this be the same family ?

Says that Trygve first went to USA. His brother John Hendrik also in 1903 and his sister Helga that married Charles S. .

Trygve died in BA Argentina in 1965

Yes, this is correct. Thank you very much for this piece of information. I just checked the heritage.statueofliberty.org to see if my Trygve and Magne went there first prior to going to Argentina, but I did not find records for 1910 for them there.

Best,

Dear Anton,

hmmm. This might seem quite a long shot, but still interesting. Thank you so much for taking time to search.

It is seldom that I don't find shipping list. I am still very intrigued.

In any case: thank you very much!

BEst,

Elsiabeth
