Partial Translation of Probate Record

I am seeking a partial translation of a Probate Record.

It is about Ole (Martin) Thorkildsen from Rekvin. I would like to have translated the list of items that Ole owned. The only word that I can understand is frying pan.

 

Another link to Ole Torkilsen's death record. No. 40 --- On the right side of the page under remarks. I know that it states that Ole was married and had 4 children. What are the other words after the 4 children?

I think it reads: Seddel meddelt Enk[en] 23/10 75 [the date, if it’s a date, is very dubious]

And another bad attempt at translation:– Note apprised to the widow . . . No idea what that’s supposed to mean. 😞

As you know, the quality of the document is not good. To be able to make good guesses is amazing.

 

Regardless of accuracy it has given insight into their lives.

 

With all due respect, I don't agree with all of your spelling of the words. Example: one word you spelled as Speil?. It appears to me to start with Sj or Sy.

 

I will now use the spellings to search the newspapers to see what I can come up with.

I am not sure what you expect to find in newspapers concerning the spellings?

 

Just bear in mind the spelling used in the Probate Record is ‹arcaich› norwegian/danish and in many instances very different from our modern spelling.

Even Stormoen, Thank you for your kindness. I know it was not an easy translation.

 

Using the spellings that you provided led to the Rigsarkivet page showing the old handwriting. Now, I will attempt to study that old handwriting for possible future use with other documents.
