Incoming passenger lists

Hi! Sorry if I'm asking this from the wrong place... My great-grandfather returned to Finland from the United States in 1917 and I believe he took a liner from North America to Norway because the world war was still going on. Now I'm trying to find some information about when he returned exactly (month or date). Ancestry or similar sites do not include incoming passenger lists from Norway so I tried to find something similar from your Digital Archives but could not find anything. Could you tell me if some kind of passenger lists (from 1917) exist somewhere and if they are digitized? Best, Antti

I am not aware of any such lists.

If he travelled via UK, he may be mentioned in the UK incoming passenger lists which are available on ancestry.com However, if he travelled direct via Norway there will probably excist no such lists.

Ok thank you very much! He didn't arrive via UK so I assume he arrived via Norway. It seems to be relatively easy to find information of passengers who leave Europe for America but a lot harder if you are trying to find information about the ones who returned (expect if they came via UK or Ireland).
