I have been researching the Great Northern War (1700-1720)

I get the jest of the given losses, but why did they include taxes? Gudmund was the only or one of a few to have taxes included. Anyone know why?

 

Another question: Previously,it was mentioned that the commons (people) fought the enemy in the 1716 invasion. Were these men conscripted? Did they wear military uniforms?

Taxes were not included. The phrase Taxerit til translates to assessed at

I finally found a Norwegian site that gives details on the war.

I will answer my own question for those who wondered the same thing.

During the 1716 and 1718 invasion, Norwegian Farmers were involved in Guerrilla warfare.

Obviously, the strong Norwegian spirit was underestimated at the beginning. Probably not by the end.

I admire the Norwegian philosophical approach.
