Looking for help on Aslak Larsen Storhaug

My family traces back thru Grøve/Storhaug farms in Røldal.  Røldal Bygdebok shows Aslak as the first brukar of the Storhaug farm which was a husmannplass for the Grøve farm around 1739.   His son Lars Aslaksson is traceable after this with ownership in Medhus and Grøve farms.   On p. 508 the bygdebok indicates that Marta became a widow in 1739.  Also says he (Aslak)  and Marta were "husmanfolk" on the Storhaug farm which was part of the Grove main farm.  Røldal Bygdebok- on p.335  has a comment that says Lars Aslakson's father may have come from Vågslid.  I haven't been able to find anything in the Vinje og Rauland Bygdebok to validate that.

 

A number of Ancestry.com family trees and GENI profile entries tie Aslak to family in Holmedal parish in Skånevik, Hordaland.  Specifically to Lauritz "Lars" Lauritzen (Larsen) (Storhaug/Utåker) (b.1666 in Utåker) and Ingebjorg Halvardsdatter Kjellasvik (b.1640 in Kjellasvik).  I have traced Lauritz thru the 1665-66 and 1701 censuses to the Utåker farm but have been unable to find any trace to Aslak.

 

I know many of the Ancestry.com trees and the GENI profile entries often contain errors- but at times they are the result of people who had performed substantial research- much of it thru bygdeboks.  

 

I have searched the forum for Aslak Larson Storhaug (and with several name permutations) with no luck.

 

Living in America, I don't have access to the digital copies of Norwegian bygdeboks.  While I have purchases a number of them- I only have a handful.

 

I was wondering if some kind soul could look at the bygdebok for Holmedal/Skånevik for the Utåker and Storhaug farms and see if there is any listing for Aslak.  If so- I would appreciate if you could attach a copy of the page showing the connection.

There is a listing for an Aslak, but he is born 1744.

I will keep "our" Aslak in mind reading probates and court journals from Vinje and Telemark...
