I don't think you should make too much out of the spelling of the patronym (Jonasson/Johansen/Johannesen/Johannessen).

You say "my grandfather", do you really mean your great-grandfather?

I think it is fairly clear that your great-grandfather Jahn Henrik Johansen was born Dec 4, 1947 in Sweden. The only question in my mind is exactly where in Sweden.

No i do not know anything but the name Roy. I only have the one picture of the four brothers with that name on it. A big mystery. And it says the two younger boys belong to HAxelHenryRoyHenrySonJohnJohnsonWenatchee1930-Colorized.jpg.c7dc01180223d011764c8dc3ab120e83.jpgAxelHenryRoyHenrySonJohnJohnsonWenatchee1930-Colorized.jpg.c7dc01180223d011764c8dc3ab120e83.jpgenry too.

I have tried to find the baptism record for

Åmål Landsförsamlingen Parish in Älvsborg County (now part of Västra Götaland County)

in Ancestry.com. Unfortunately the parish book at least in Ancestry does not go back further than 1860. So I have not been able to find a orignal record.

The above record of

Birth Date:4 Dec 1847

Birth Place:Älvsborg (Västra Götaland), Åmåls Landsförsamling

may be as good as you get.

I had a son Karl Julius born mar. 7th 1874? I wonder if that could be "Roy". I don't know who gave me that child's name.

Okay My husband and I have been looking this picture over and the title on it and now we think this is just three brothers, Axel, Henry (and Henry's son Roy with his boys in front of him) and then John my grandfather. So maybe no brother Roy but Henry's son Roy?

Do you know where Henry lived most of his life?

After coming here he lived in Seattle Washington, Leavenworth, Washington and we think maybe Oregon. Grandpa lost connections with him and never talked about him much.

And he might have changed his last name too like Axel did. Axel changed his last name to Hadley because he thought he would get better busy in his business he had in Wenatchee, Washington.
