Visiting from USA Looking for Archives

I am visiting from Connecticut, USA and my great-grandparents came from Halden and Sande and lived in Oslo until they moved to the USA in 1907. Is there anyway I can visit the archives and get help finding documents?

Read the English section about opening hours etc.  Do not expect extensive help at the archive. You will get more help on this forum.

If you have details about your family, the 1900 census for Oslo should be your first stop. It will tell you where your ancestors were born

if they are in the records.
