English speaker trying to translate an old scanned record from a witchcraft trial

I am trying to learn about the witchcraft trial of Anders Pedersen that took place in 1686. I know he is a traveller, and was interrogated at Ringebu.

https://www.trolldomsarkivet.uio.no/perl/ikos/visprosess.cgi?prosessid=108

there are 2 pages in the records.

I know it is long, but could anyone tell me what he did to be accused of witchcraft? I am curious to know why he was accused.

Thank you!

Edit: I know it is very long and I don't need an exact translation. I'm curious to know why he was accused, and what happened.

Well, it (your linked document) is not really long – but slightly confusing and not very informative, I’m afraid. Appearantly it is just a fragment of the trial.

What is between […]-brackets are my own musings.

A ‹witness› named Christen Gullichsen states that the person in question (Anders Pedersen, traveller) must be knowledgeble in some kind of «jugglery»  [the word indicates sorcerers, jesters and comedians being considered more or less the same. . . Hmm. Interesting.] because Anders – on Westad (a farm) – had grabbed hold of Christens «mentioned sisters child» saying he would like to know whether she had taken «the (*word)  bedsheet» [which somehow seems to be an important object because the (arcaic) norwegian word  *«påstevnete» is used which I am unable to translate, but it is a legal term] from Lars Westad. And therefore Christen had attacked Peder. Christen will prove this on the next «Ting» – (court assembly)

Finally – the court decides that this belongs to the «Military Jurisdiction».

[Keep in mind that this document must be a later copy of the original]

Reg.
