Looking for living relatives of Gudbrand Andersen

I am trying to find out information about my Great great Grandfather's Norwegian Ancestory.
The notes that I have are as follows:
his name is Gudbrand Andersen, but I can’t find a record with Strand on it so I can transcribe it to his ancestry notes. I am trying to find living relatives back in Norway who descend from him.

The Norwegian burial record states his date of birth as  Jan 01-27, 1851 and his birth place was Strandeiets Farm and the year he died was 1891.
His parents are listed as Anders Gudbrandsen and Anne Pedersdatter and I have listed a sister of his as named Han Andersdatter 1857. Any feedback or information would be appreciated.

Gudbrand's christening in 1851 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070205640687

His brother Peder was christened in 1855 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206610077

His sister Karen was christened in 1857 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206610472
They lived in Gran at Hadeland. These eldest children were born at Strandseiet, their father was a tenant farmer ("husmann") under the farm Strand.
In 1863 they  were living at Engnæseiet when another brother, Anders, was born. He was christened at home by Gudbjør Ols.(Olsen) at Engnæs, and Anders died shortly after. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206610582

We cannot discuss living realives om this site, but we can help you follow up until recently, and make private suggestions off the forum if we find likely living relatives.

July 14th 1894: Gudbrand's sister Karen seems to have married one Johan Hansen who was 20 years older than his bride. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060425060102
The groom's father was Hans Jacobsen.

Karen and Johan had a daughter Anne Maria shortly before the wedding. She was born and christened in June.  https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060425060168

Karen and Johan settled at  Kasbråten and had a son Hans i 1896 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206630510

The 1900 census shows that they had a daughter Anne Marie born in 1894: https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01037096005098
It is not unusual for the time that Maria became Marie.
In the 1910 census the couple were living with their two sons Hans and Anders, and a girl Kjersti Nilsdatter. She was being brought up by Karen and Johan.

In the 1920 census the coulple were living at Kastbraaten with their son Anders, the daughter Anne Marie, and an unmarried shoemaker Sigurd Olsen

In 1931 Johan H. Kastbraaten died of old age. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20051108010207

This message will be about Karen and Johan's daughter Anne Marie and her family.
Ole Andreassen Nygaard, her husband, was living at Brændengen when they were wed.
Neither of them were living at Brendengen in 1920.

Anne Marie Nygaard born Kastbråten died in 1960. The newspaper notice contained greetings from her husband, her children, her son-in-law, and her brother Anders Kastbråten. Without a Norwegian IP-address you cannot read the paper https://www.nb.no/items/3110b8d677d9644f85bf7d54ecb00ef0?page=3&searchText="f. Kastbråten"
Ole Nygård died in 1966. https://www.nb.no/items/57ebddcb8567b550f428a56ef1f18041?page=3&searchText="Ole Nygård"

Technically the children or children-in-law may still be alive. I haven't yet tried to find them, and will attempt to identify them (and their offspring) later. If you want their names now I can send them by pm.

This message is about Anders Johansen Kastbraaten and his family. In 1916, Anders Kastbraaten was allowed to take over the loan for Kastbraaten from Hans (presumably his older brother.) https://www.nb.no/items/e2b631c5b9afc9ae4213bc1ff785ceb8?page=1&searchText="Anders Kastbraaten"

In 1926 he appeared to have bought a car. This car was returned to the seller as security for a loan and attempted sold at an auction. https://www.nb.no/items/37501d4e64935dbd862b9766665109ca?page=9&searchText="Anders Kastbraaten"

In 1932 he was engaged to be married to Olga Amalie Johansen  Lundberg, at the Paulus church (Church of St. Paul) in Kristiania (Oslo) . At that time they were both living in Kjøbenhavnsgt. 13. https://www.nb.no/items/0161ecfbf55ad9c4d7406db713af9812?page=0&searchText="Olga Amalie"

They probably lost a small son Arne the same year https://www.nb.no/items/ed24d9e0c41ab451a1367bdc7ac8ea1d?page=11&searchText="Anders Kastbraaten"

No information about age or how they were related to Arne.

In 1965 he sold Aursskoggt. 1 to a Tor Sem for NOK 60.000 https://www.nb.no/items/23876ec44f9bcbd06345288139ea998a?page=5&searchText="Anders Kastbraaten"

Olga Amalie appears to be mentioned in Aftenposten: Ukens nytt, 29.03.1965, but I'm not sure what the occasion was, as this paper is not generally available with a Norwegian IP address.

His death: "Vår alles kjære Anders Kastbraaten døde brått fra oss idag, 81 år gammel. Oslo, 12. november 1979" from Aftenposten 14.11.1979
He had at least two, possibly three children mentioned in that paper. One of them was the son Odd.

Anders' son Odd Kastbraaten/Kastbråten (both spellings are used in the papers)
"Vår alles kjære
Odd Kastbraaten født 2. november 1933, døde fra oss på Bråset i dag. Asker, 27. september 2007." from Dagsavisen 03.10.2007.

The names underneath the message indicate that he had several living relatives, even if their reation to him was not mentioned. The wife he married in 1962, see below, was not mentioned.

Odd was an active chess player. He is mentioned several times in the newspapers in connection with local competitions. In 1973 he participated in the national championship.
Odd was a punchcard operater as early as in 1962. This is evident from when he married Brita Jacobsen, also from Oslo. She was working as "lønningsassistent" (an assistant whose job it was to see that wages were being paid.) https://www.nb.no/items/b40392c5d639ad2085e855439decf386?page=7&searchText="Odd Kastbraaten"
They bought property in Ullensaker in 1969 https://www.nb.no/items/86d9a91f04f022ad70606f165f1c06a5?page=1&searchText="Odd Kastbraaten"

In 1993 he was living in Nittedalsgaten 1 according to Aftenposten (02.11)

In 1997 he received Kongens fortjenestemedalje https://www.nb.no/items/520ab47fb7d4564ea4867aa72d3e6d86?page=59&searchText="Odd Kastbraaten" (HM The King's Medalof Merit)

In 2003 he bought property. https://www.nb.no/items/7099fc2323fdf3812a075e1e33560d75?page=9&searchText="Odd Kastbraaten"

Originally I thought your Gudbrand Andersen had emigrated with his entire family. Then I re-read and saw you were looking for descendants.
These are the leads I have locaded so far for Gudbrand Andersen's wife(?) and children:

Ragnvald born emigrated to the US in 1899 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/291/pu00000000035870
Anne born 1882 was registered leaving the parish for USA on the same date https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060727050149 This is almost certainly his sister. Her address before emigrating was Kastbråten, where her paternal aunt Karen was living.

Karoline was born July 1st 1887 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206630393

There was a Karoline with this birth year registered in the 1900 census, at Paulsrud. She was living with Anders Gudbrandsen and his wife Anne Pedersdatter born 1822 and 1820. This is most likely your Gudbrand's daughter living with her paternal grandparents.
She is not the same as Anna Karoline Hansdatter with the exact same birth date, even if Karoline Gudbrandsdatter's paternal grandmother's name was Anna.

This other woman moved to Minnesota in 1909, and that one did exist as evident from her confirmation . https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/8/pe00000000588351 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/279/pk00000000387002

Peder Gudbrandsen was confirmated in 1903 https://www.digitalarkivet.no/view/279/pk00000002095322

He was living at Kammerud at the time. He was not registered there at the 1900 census. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01037095004045

Interestingly, in 1904 an Ingeborg Gudbrandsdatter with birth year 1850, almost the same as Gudbrand Andersen's wife according to the 1991 census,  living at Kammerud, wedded Johan Olsen from Onsdager in Romedal. She would be past child bearing years by then. We do not learn if she's a widow, or he a widower, but there is a note that the inheritance has been settled. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060727050348

According to the 1891 census, when the family of Gulbrand Andersen and Ingebor(g) Gudbrandsdatter were living at Paulsrud, Gulbrand Gulbrandsen was born in 1878. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01052769004689
According to his christening he was born Nov. 6th that year. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070206620619
He appears to have married Gudbjørg Olsdatter born 1881, from Onsager, in 1900. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060727050338 At the time he was working at a brick making factory.

At the time of the 1900 census they were living at Taaje.

The year after they had a daughter Gina while living at Halvorsbøl. Gulbrand was a 'dagarbeider', he got by on short time employment https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070117340386

In 1903 they had a son Ole while living at Myre. Gudbrand was now employed as someone driving wares around. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070117340407

Both Gina and Ole had sponsors from Onsager. One of them was called Julius Olsen.

In 1904 they had a daughter Ingeborg while living at Myre. https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20060727050235

 Gudbrand was a 'husmand'.

Ingebor Gudbrandsdatter's husband of 1904 was "sagmester" (master of a saw mill). In 1914 he was living at Haugsengen in Branvald according to the newspaper Vestoplærningen. https://www.nb.no/items/85a8ac4606fce61869750104adc9f678?page=1&searchText="Sagmester Johan Olsen"

Unfortunately I haven't found an index card on the probate records of Gudbrand Gudbrandsen under Askim/Askimseie.

Nor have I been able to find Gudbrand Gudbrandsen/Gulbrand Gulbrandsen, Gudbjørg/Gulbjørg Olsdatter/Gulbjørg Gulbrandsen, nor their children Gina, Ole and Ingeborg in the 1910 and 1920 census. It is possible that the family emigrated after Ingeborg's birth in 1904.

While the spelling of Gudbrand and Gulbrand, Gudbjørg and Gulbjørg are quite different, and these names are treated differently by the search engine on Digitalforum, it is possible to confuse the names, so it makes sense to search for both.

I haven'f found Peder Gudbrandsen born 1889 after his confirmation, nor Karoline after 1900, in Oppland.
In 1900, however, Peder was living with his mother Ingeborg at Onsager https://www.digitalarkivet.no/census/person/pf01037095004115
