Gjertina P. Rystead ?

Good Morning,

I was wondering if anybody here would be so kind to help me figure out who this woman is.

She immigrated to the United States sometime in the late 1800s, early 1900s to Minnesota.

She was born in 1877 in Norway. On some of the american records it shows her born in 1876. Not sure if it's a typo or if they are mixing her up with another person with a similar name.

She died in 1904/1905 in Tower, Minnesota. Also seems that her daughter died at birth. No name given.

In one record if shows that her dad was Knud Eriksen and her mom was Helene Kristine Olafsdatter.

Also attached a copy of another record from the Minnesota archives as well.

There have been some other records that suggest Gjertina was from Nordland/Flakstad region. But not sure if that's correct.

If we were to be able to figure out her parents info and her's from Norway, as well as, figuring out which boat she was on and when she left heading to america that would be awesome.
I haven't had any success yet. Any help would be much appreciated.

Wow! thank you so much for the quick reply.
This brings in more questions.

Why is Gjertina's middle name Niedine? .... shouldn't it be Knutsdatter? This is for her birth record.
Looks like in the other record her middle name is Knudsdatter. Curious why we don't see her husband's name.
So her son is Hjalmar Bendigsten?! 

Does these archives have immigration records for people leaving Norway to America?

So it looks like she had no husband when she gave birth to her son in Norway. Also looks like he didn't go with her to Boston?!
A year later it appears in Minnesota she died giving birth to her daughter. And yet, no man seems to be in the picture with the second child.
Makes you wonder where she got the name Rystead?

This is likely the Ancestry transcription of her emigration into Boston. Transcription a little off making finding her arrival a bit difficult.

Wonder where or why she left her son behind, he was only 5 years old.
Thinda? That's so random that she took on that as her last name.

Overall, this is great information. Gives me a bit more to work with. I'm curious to know who the guy was that fathered her daughter while in Minnesota.
He must have been a Rystad/Rystadt/Reystead/Rystead. 

There was fellow i found in the Minnesota area named Ole Rystead.

So I guess the last piece to the puzzle is what happens between July 24th 1903 to May 9th 1905.

If anyone finds out more information if she gets married prior to her death or any other details, that would be greatly appreciated.

I spent last night looking through family search, ancestry and just googling to see if I could find anymore history for Gjertina. I've had no further luck.
If she only arrived in the USA in 1903 and then passed away only a year or two later. Chances are that there is very little information on her. 
I tried searching in some of the census, but nothing came up. I have checked various spellings of both her first name as well as her maiden name and the surname she had at death with zero results except for the record of her burial.

Unless someone else is able to find anything else, i feel that there might not be anymore info available to the general public.
