Regarding the clipping I posted above. That Charles Cederwall is not Charles Andrew Cedar.

 

It is odd that nothing can be found on this family in Norway.

 

Also, no marriage record for Adolf Bernhard Ceder can be found.

 

Caution: Many variants: Ceder, Seder, Seter, Cederwall, Cederberg, Soder, Soderstrom, and many others. It is best not to allow imaginations to run wild.

Our family knows very little about Charles Andrew Cedar. All we know is what we’v recorded on our Ancestry trees (on Ancestry).  He was a Norwegian Sea captain who married our great grandmother Martha Allan in London. The information regarding his father we took from the marriage certificate. All his masters certificates are also on ancestry along with his Lloyd’s shipping details and his death certificate. We know he could speak several languages also. He continued throughout his life to be a mariner and passed away in London in 1898. We know nothing else about him including where he was buried.
