Help required to identify some names in a census

Could someone please tell me the names of the people listed in the Vicar's Census 1664-1666 and the 1701 census who were listed in the Fintland farm (only the family group of Gunhild Carlsdatter in 1701)?

What is the significance of the names being listed in 3 columns in the 1664-1666 census? Does this indicate adults/ young males/ infants?

All are males; no ages given - except that "sons" are younger.

 

1701: columns "Opsiderens eller Leilendingernes Stand og Vilckor" (farmer's/holder's status and conditions),

"Gaardenes eller Pladtzernes Nafne" (farm/holding names), "opsiddernes eller Leilendingernes Nafne (names of farmers/holders),

"Deres alder" (their age), "Deres Sønners Nafne og hvor de findes" (their Sons' names and where they are), "Deres alder" (their age),

"Tieneste Karle eller Drenge" (Farm hands or servants), "Deres Alder"

Gunnild is obviously a woman, surely a widow. The others are males. The censuses had military purposes, thus only men/boys.

Gunnild MAY be the widow of JOHANS Lauritzøn from the 1664/66 listing as her son(s?) are JOHANson(s?).

 

Unfortunately I'm not able to find any probates from this farm to check that out - but hopefully someone else can help you.

Thank you Ivar, this is perfect. I can learn a lot from your response and I'll take some time now to look at it carefully. The two children Torckild 18 and Troen 14 are both in the bydgebok (attaching screenshot). I am trying to establish what year Gunnild was born and her daughter Anna also. All entries in trees etc give her birth year at about 1626, but that can't be right as she gave birth to Troen in 1687. I saw a comment about her that suggested she was alive at around 1725, though I havent verified that with a record.

Thanks Tom for helping with this. I think you are probably right about Johans Lauritzonn. I have seen Lauritzon mentioned somewhere else, and it does resemble Larsen a bit. Fintland is in Tonstad parish so you had the correct place. Would that probate series in the link have 1724-25 records - I think Gunnild may be there in those years , or somewhere between 1710 and 1725 at least.

The bygdebok refers to a "skifte" (division of inheritage) after Johannes i 1691.

This "skifte" may tell the age of the (minor/under age) children.

There were not many sources of age of people in general, and for women in particular. 

The specified age can be unreliable, except when it had legal implications (e.g. age of sons close to age of majority)
